Avue Workforce Readiness Index (Avue WRI)

The Avue Workforce Readiness Index (WRI) is developed from the each agency's hiring data over the past 12 months: the losses due to voluntary resignations, the numbers of employees eligible to retire, and the number of employees within five years of eligibility to retire.

An optimum WRI would be an index 1.0 based on the data. This would indicate the agency is hiring at a rate which adequately addresses the future by selecting enough employees to maintain strength based on projected retirements and normal voluntary losses. Agencies with low WRIs are agencies where potential hiring over the next few years needs to increase significantly to maintain current employee strength and workforce experience levels.
