DUTIES: Serves as a Network Administrator for the Office of the Program Manager, Saudi Arabian National Guard, to support a Campus Area Network for a user population of approximately 300 users. Performs the installation and configuration of new and existing CISCO switches and routers to include 2960's, 2821's, 4507's, and 3825's. Implements DISA STIG requirements and works side by side the Systems Administrator and Security Engineers to ensure all CISCO equipment is compliant with DoD IA standards. Configures routers to support remove sites, to include configuration of AES, IPSEC, Call Management, etc. Generates and updates network topology drawings/mappings. THIS IS AN UNACCOMPANIED TOUR. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Rank/Grade of MAJ/04. Functional Area of 53A or sufficient civilian skills and experience to accomplish the duties. Should be highly skilled in the installation and configuration of CISCO Switches and Routers. Must have the ability to work independently and troubleshoot CISCO equipment. Must have Information Assurance Technology (IAT) Level II certifications in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570.01M Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, at a minimum. It would be desirable to have Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), COMPTia Security+, Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP), or Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SCNP). Information Assurance Technology (IAT) Level III certifications, to include Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Security Expert (GSE), Security Certified Network Architect (SCNA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) (or Associate), and Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) exceed, thus satisfy the Information Assurance Technology (IAT) Level II requirement.
