    BPA is a not-for-profit federal electric utility. Our high-voltage transmission grid comprises more than 15,000 miles of lines and associated substations in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana. BPA markets more than a third of the electricity consumed in the Pacific Northwest. The power is produced at 31 federal dams operated by the Army Corps of Engineers and Bureau of Reclamation and one nuclear plant in the Northwest and is sold to more than 140 Northwest utilities. BPA purchases power from seven wind projects and has more than 4,700 megawatts of wind interconnected to its transmission system,

  • The Administrative Officer serves as the Executive Assistant to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Transmission. The position serves as a liasion between the SVP and other senior executives withn BPA, including the Transmission management team. The position also serves as a point of contact for the immediate staff of the work units within Transmission and BPA and interacts with many external organization and stakeholders.
  • Performs tasks related to the administrative management of an organization. This includes activities such as interpreting administrative policies, developing and implementing organizational policies, defining administrative requirements, and/or providing advice to management on related issues.
  • Performs liaison duties in support of an organizational program planning process. Participates in developing and implementing long- and short-range plans, procedures, and policies relating to the organization's administrative needs.
  • Provides assistance to the organization by completing a variety of clerical and administrative support tasks and procedures.
  • Coordinates the administrative and clerical work for the organization. Maintains a calendar for the supervisor, scheduling appointments, meetings, and conferences. Procures office supplies and services. Interacts with members of the staff, organization, and individuals outside of the agency ranging from other government agencies to the general public. Receives phone calls and visitors and refers them to an appropriate individual. Serves as the office liaison for groups associated with the organization.
