    This is a Night Position. The tour of Duty is Monday - Friday: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM.

Duties:

  • The employee serves as a Custodial Worker Supervisor. The employee plans, lays out, coordinates, directs, assigns, reassigns, performs, and checks the work of the custodial workers and custodial leaders and is responsible for the quality and quantity of work performed. The employee may be assigned as the Custodial Worker Supervisor in any of the buildings based on work requirements at the direction of the Custodial Worker General Supervisor.
    Plans the work operations material and manpower resources for the night custodial work force in the assigned area of the building. Work performed by the custodial workers includes cleaning rooms, offices, and restrooms in the assigned area of the building; operating industrial vacuum cleaners, brooms, sweep and mop floors, clean baseboards, and dust and clean desks and other room furnishings.
    Carries out Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies and program activities.
    The employee performs the administrative and human resource management functions relative to the staff supervised. Plans, schedules, and assigns work to subordinates. Establishes guidelines and performance expectations for staff members; provides feedback and periodically evaluates employee performance. Provides advice, counsel, and/or instruction to staff members. Recommends or approves appointments, selections, or reassignments to positions appropriate to the selection authority delegated. Effects disciplinary measures as appropriate to the authority delegated in this area.
    Evaluates progress of work and spot checks to determine whether overall work objectives are being met. Inspects work in progress and upon completion to ensure that projects meet necessary specifications and that defect work is corrected. Prepares daily report to the Custodial Worker General Supervisor and Night Superintendent concerning the status of work orders and miscellaneous assignments or projects.
