  • This is an Excepted Service Appointment. Initial appointments to the Peace Corps are normally for 60 months (5 years). Employees are paid on the Foreign Service pay scale and receive the same benefits as other Federal employees. A background security investigation will be required for all hires. Appointment will be subject to the applicant's successful completion of a background security investigation and favorable adjudication. Failure to successfully meet these requirements will be grounds for termination.

Duties:

  • This position is located in the Office of Safety and Security, and reports to the Supervisory Security Specialist in Overseas Operations. This position will develop, establish, and monitor and evaluate goals and metrics for the agency's safety and security program.

    Develops and implements a monitoring and evaluation program with clearly defined goals and metrics for the agency's safety and security program.
  • Performs surveys, studies, and evaluations to measure and improve program operations and results.
  • Analyzes and evaluates, on a quantitative or qualitative basis, the effectiveness of safety and security programs or operations in meeting established goals, measures, and objectives.

    Designs and/or maintains methods, approaches, and processes to implement the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA), and provides a means for the agency to analyze its resources in relation to its performance results.
