Earlier this year, the U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT) notified users worldwide of the 'Heartbleed' vulnerability, which could expose sensitive data to attack.
Upon receiving this notification, Avue immediately began the process of mitigating this vulnerability for all of its sites to protect our users. We have completed this mitigation process, and we are asking that users now change their passwords.
This is not just an Avue issue. This is a change you've likely been asked or advised to make if you've got accounts with Google, Facebook, YouTube, Yahoo, Tumblr or many, many other sites that use OpenSSL certificates.
Be aware that there have been no security breaches of Avue systems and that changing your password is merely a precaution against such a breach.
