This is an Excepted Service Appointment. Initial appointments to the Peace Corps are normally for 60 months (5 years). Employees are paid on the Foreign Service pay scale and receive the same benefits as other Federal employees. A background security investigation will be required for all hires. Appointment will be subject to the applicant's successful completion of a background security investigation and favorable adjudication. Failure to successfully meet these requirements will be grounds for termination.

The purpose of this position is to provide comprehensive knowledge to programming and training to promote effectiveness to enhance field support for Peace Corps Training/Volunteer Services (PCT/Vs). This will include, but is not limited to development and implementation of clear and effective program policies, effective communication and expectation setting with focus on supporting the successful integration of Peace Corps Volunteers (PCVs) in their communities. This position includes facilitation of relevant training sessions managing the Peace Corps Volunteer Leader (PCVL) program and monitoring, reporting and evaluation (MRE) of program data.
Plans, schedules, and conducts projects and studies to evaluate and recommend ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of program or project operations.
